HDR Pano-15 Shots for 1 Picture

I have been wanting to try this for a while. I wasn't sure it was going to work but it did.

I took five shots to make the Pano. But each shot I bracket -2, 0, +2 for the HDR. I then stitched the five shots at -2, the five shots at 0, and the five shots at +2. (I used Microsoft Ice for the stitching.) I now had the three Panoramic shots I needed to make a HDR photo. One overexposed, one underexposed, and one properly exposed. I took those three panos and processed them for HDR. To my surprise I didn't have any alignment problems during HDR processing.
Here is what I came up with. Nothing special but this process could have huge potential for some nice HDR Panoramic shots.

Too big to post here but you can click on the link for the compressed view.

Remarkable amount of work went into this gorgeous landscape. Big pat on the back for your efforts.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Very nice job. It's too bad panos are so hard to show. - TF

Re: HDR Pano-15 Shots for 1 Picture

Thanks for the comments. This pan did take a little work. But I am pretty happy with the end result. Not necessarily the actual photo, but knowing that now I can expand my boundaries on landscapes a little. There have been so many photos I have taken that have gone on the back burner due to the fact that a single image just didn't give the full aspect of what I saw in the landscape when I shot it.

Sorry about the late reply. I am traveling around Northern California shooting National Forest/ Wild Preserves targeting landscapes. I'm staying at a different low budget hotels each night while I'm traveling. (Pet friendly hotels up here are becoming very hard to come by) Tonight is the first night where my wireless internet actually works in the Hotel. Its as slow as dial up...but working.

    Thanks again for the comments

Superb - never tried a pano myself but this has certainly motivated me to give it a go.

Sounds like a lot of work -- but it resulted in a nice payoff!!
