    Acadia Sunrise

Acadia National Park is what got me back into photography after a 15 year lay off.

The color of the light on the rocks didn't survive the web conversion real well.

    All comments welcome.

    Thanks

    Pretty view.

I think to improve this you need to include some foreground interest and I suspect it would look better if the horizon wasn't so close to the center of the frame.

Some colorful clouds would add a lot too.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I composed this trying not to chop off the tall pine on the right hand side which put the horizon pretty close to center which is probably my biggest gripe with this shot.

Clouds would have been very nice, but I was just lucky to be up this early for any shots at all.

    Thanks

Others can critique away on this but, I like the calm that this photograph conveys. That light --- the gentle water, I can feel the crisp air. Maybe I just miss Acadia, its been over 35 years since I was last there. Thank you so much for bringing me there today.

This is beautiful light and I don't mind the horizon being where it is.

I think a possible crop of about half the sea to the head land could improve it.

Hmm. I like the softness of the shot. It has a nice angle of sun and decent warmth. I would up the saturation in post processing and see what you get. The contrast is low here, but it might hurt the softness of the image if you crank that it. Nice work
