"Trinity" - not sure about this one
Hi all .. this image appeared recently on Viewfinder as part of a day out I had with overbeyond. I call it Trinity (for obvious reasons) but it is one of those pictures I am having some difficulty in assessing. It interests me, but it is rather simple at the same time.

What do you think? And I don't mind in the slightest if people think it's rubbish - I am not at all sure myself! :D

    Cheers
    Mike

I like the colors, but the subject and the crop seem unimaginative for me. Possibly from an extreme "myspace" angle? Or more zoom and DOF making the child the subject?

    Mike,
This isn't working for me. I am not sure why but one of the things I notice a lot is the way the life ring meets the edge of the beach and it keeps pulling my eye to that point. I also feel that perhaps if you'd crouched down to help the childs head be separated from the edge of the beach.

What I do like are the positions of the posts and the child horizontally in the frame along with the colours.

Mike I like the signs and composition. The eye popping colors against the dull background works fine. I think it would work just as well without the child in the shot. Maybe turn him running the other way.
