A few shots from a train near my new house.

ZL.....the top one is very nicely composed....a nice feeling of a non-stop succession of railroad cars. As for the bottom, if you cropped out the sun's reflection in the creek, it would work better IMO.
I almost missed this one.

ok, i was trying to get the sun in there. i wasn't sure if it would work or not, but i can see that train out my window right now.... i'm sure i'll be back there soon

ok..take a look...theres a lot of different looks in every photo. 1st crop gives you that old western pano look...2ndkind of focuses more on the train dissapearing into the horizon

If the sky had been better these would have been a lot better. The composition works well. I think a grad or polarizer would have helped a great deal.

Both shots are decent... although I would say that I like #1 more than #2

#2 sky and sun being on the right side draws your eyes from the train, and also your wide angle on the 1D is giving you a bit much curvature on the train... trains having a lot of straight lines look strange when having curved edges.
