    Tinman and the Gardener
This shot was not posed. The original was shot in color but I converted it to b&w to tame the bad lighting of the mid afternoon sun somewhat. I think if I mess around with it I may be able to subdue some of the harshness. Comments? Thanks.

A little harsh (as you said yourself) but I do like the composition. I might prefer this uncropped. For me - unless an item is perfectly square - I prefer to make it at least 1.5 : 1 or else it sits wrong visually. Any less and I feel I just did a bad job making a square.

I'm just going to lose it and start making all my compositions 1:Φ and stay true to the divine ratio :)

I like the tin man but I don't find the gardener adding much to the shot (since all we see is the gardener's behind).

    Hey Barmy,

I like your framing and the way every elements take place other than the gardener in the background. His posture isnt really flaterring to say the least lol! That being said, I like your picture. I think that you have brought an interesting perspective of the scene.
