    Tin Commandments

This isn't a Peru shot but a Costa Rica one, that I've been holding back for about a year now. I've always liked it for some reason. Any comments appreciated.

Nice blue sky. Interesting angles. The way the corrugated tin "wall" slopes off from right to left seems to have good flow. The left side of the picture appears a little dark though, IMO. I'm trying to visualize how this would look with the tin wall a little more vertical.

I like the tilt, and the sky looks great.

Nice capture. A real monumental feel for a shot of such pedestrian materials. It's like the slab in 2001 - A Space Odyssey. I like the title too. The tilt and angles make the shot.

A great abstract shot and a great title. The sky is key here, being it so vivid and blue, it works well. Great shot!

Beautiful sky. Seems to show man's intrusion on nature. South America is known for their incredible skies..

I love the title but I'm not sure how it works with this shot. I would like to see a title that's more suggestive of "confinement", as that is what I feel this shot conveys the strongest. The feeling of being confined, looking out at the freedom of the clouds.

    Re: Tin Commandments

Thanks everyone for taking the time in this holiday season to reply to this. Also, I feel I owe you all an explanation of exactly what it is.

I was in a Taxi heading out of the city and it momentarily came to stop when I took this. The skies were gorgeous as they always were there in Costa Rica. Think of the tin wall as sort of a fence/barrier right after the side walk dividing the area where this building (concrete to the left) from the street. This is taken from about hip level pointing up.
I was just lucky to capture the buildings angle and the fence's one sheet at the exact moment where they seem almost as one piece. But in reality the building (concrete) was on a totally different plain and way behind the fence at the "intersection point". I noticed this later and certainly didn't plan for it. Nor is that why I like it but I see how it can throw people off. I actually liked it for it's abstract values and nothing more.

Here' s a little illustration that might help in the explanation, just in case the words don't make sense.

    swmdrayfan,
The dark bottom left doesn't bother me as much becuase it adds a bit more focus to the middle of the shot were I want people looking most. Also, correcting the angles and tilt takes too much away from this. Thanks for your comments.

    Thanks payn.

    Chunck,
Oh how I wish I've seen that " A Space Odyssey" I didn't but I'll take it as a compliment and thanks.

    Juzzus & Jared,
Yeah the abstract was the only real appeal this shot had for me as well. I really like the lines and the segments. Thanks guys.

    GB1,
I've traveled quite a bit and IMO nothing beats the costa rican skies specially in San Jose. So deep and blue with scattered fluffy clouds that one can almost touch (because of elevation) for the whole time I was there (February). Thanks.

    Kelly,
You're right the title might be ok, but it doesn't have anything to do with this. It's the first thing that came to my mind when I decided to name this piece to post it here. Thanks for your suggestion on that as it makes more sense. Also, I believe if I recall correctly you've been to Costa Rica and were also fond of the clouds there. ;) Thanks.
