Welcome to PR! I'm sure you'l find that the members here have quite a bit of knowledge to impart if you stick around and listen.
Unfortunately this shot really isn't working for me as it is. I'm not really seeing any intention to your subject matter or real design elements to your composition. Don't worry though, that will all come in time.
I do like the textures you caught, though, and it's cool that you're looking to find interesting pictures in everyday situations. Practice practice practice and keep posting here. Eventually you'll find a style of your own and begin taking the pictures you like. And through posting here, you'll develop an understanding of how to convey your ideas to your viewers.
    Thanks for sharing!

    Yes, Welcome to PR.com!
I don't want to date myself, but I started photography when I was in high school, and 20 years later, I am still doing it. I hope it can be as rewarding to you as it has been to me.

Looking at your photograph, I can see that you are learning to see, which is a good thing.
I am sure that no matter what you are doing, you see interesting things and composition to photograph. Keep it up! It will pay off with with good photograhs.

Make sure you check out the all of the other forums as well.

Full credit for coming up with something so unusual. The headlines on the newspaper report a murder. Could this be the criminal hiding away to read the story and stash away some evidence.
If its just a call of nature he choose the wrong cubicle and needs to quickly get to the one next door where the urinal is.
These are the things I imagine.
This would be better if it was roughened up a bit, possibly b/w with some dirty grain.
Do I like it? Well do I need to. But I think it's good.
You're on the right track and are a good beginner.
    Maybe a different title?

    Welcome,

I like your stile and it leaves the viewer to work out what is happening.

To me if it supposed to a lavatory then it needs to be black and white with quite a bit of grain and possibly a sepia would convey an outside privy in the UK.

If your into art then perhaps some blood spatter (not real of course) would go with the newspapers.

Your onto a good start keep them coming.

I like it. Yes, I don't know what's going on but that lets me use my imagination.
The angle is what gives it some punch. I almost get a bit nauseus with all those lines and angles but not in a bad way

Hey! Are those kind of tennis shoes coming back? I had some when I was a senior 42 years ago.

I think you have a creative eye. My only change would be the shoes, a different pair maybe, and the plastic bag has to go.

    Re: The Times

Welcome to the forum. Maybe you can tell us what it is you want to get across with this image. As Tom pointed out, there is headlines of murder and tragic event in the paper, and so with that and your title I feel like your making a statement about the times we live in . Your creative and that is very good. I like how you have framed the shot, with the corner of the wall in the upper left corner of the frame and the walls running straight and parallel with the frame. Other members here have already offered some good suggestions for improvement. I think if you were trying to get a message across, you will need to set up a scene which hits the viewer more directly, without too much confusion as to what is going on, or what the message is supposed to be.
Keep shooting and experimenting, and keep posting on the forum and you will find this place a great resource for learning and progressing.
I look forward to seeing more of your work.

    Re: The Times

I appreciate all of the feed back, at lot of laughs (at myself mostly), but, the thing i found most interesting and almost ironic are the comments refering to a lavatory. The shot was actually an untouched corner in my highschool...
