A tiger of a different kind....
A Tiger Lily! This picture started out as a pretty good picture and due to a slip of my hand, (caused by rambunctious chow and child) the sat and contrast got boosted to extremes, but I think that it turned out rather neat, I really like it. As my favorite artist always says, we have no accidents here, only happy mistakes! What do you think?

Bumping to top for opinions. :)
Re: A tiger of a different kind....
I like it. It's right up my alley with the black background and upped saturation. The only thing I can suggest is the "centeredness" of the image. When you get a little funky with images, you need to take it all the way. You had planned this to be a simpler image so the additional tune up leaves it lacking a little something. Not much, just a bit.
Re: A tiger of a different kind....
I have a hard time....."uncentering" things. I am a very symmetrical person.....as has been duly noted on here multiple times. :) I will work on it.
Re: A tiger of a different kind....
ChowChi-Ching - It's like the fireworks we're getting ready to see on the 4th.
I like black backgrounds and such, but here it seems that the flower is overexposed against it. As you can see, the flower has lost some detail in the very yellow petals.. it's probably just 1/2 f-stop over.
The tiger looks a little lonely here...

Re: A tiger of a different kind....
I wish I had more flowers in here too. This wasn't taken against a black background but was actually taken outside during early evening, it was in a planter next to our motel room.
Re: A tiger of a different kind....
It looks very distortionized (word? :P). The colors and focus are fine, but It looks like you resized it wrong somehow or it's a very low quality picture.
Re: A tiger of a different kind....
It may have a resize problem due to photobucket. My pictures are all taken in NEW(Nikons RAW format) I have a D70s, and the pictures are all pretty high quality. The only thing that happened to this picture is that the Sat, and the Contrast were bumped up ALOT. (Kids and Dog all trying to tell me something and bumped my arm while I was trying to brighten it! But I liked the way it turned out)
