Armando, I really love this one man. so clear and crisp. love the leading lines and the exposure is awesome. the composition is great also. everything about it works. looks just about perfect on this end!

    Re: Through the trees

    Thanks Liban

Went there looking for the long shadows and I'm glad how it worked out, brought my flash and tripod

Had to manually zoom the flash and also set that to manual exposure instead of TTL , TTL was not working correctly as I was using it only to light myself.

Thank god for digital, as it took me quite a few tries balancing ambient light and flash

Also I usually do not have my dog on a leash but with all the running back and forth the 10 sec of the self timer was not long enough to call the dog back

    Re: Through the trees

It worked out really well! Man, I don't shoot around here in the winter, and I haven't shot anything new since January!! But finally the heat is coming and I'm going away this long weekend and taking my camera and tripod to northern ontario, really beautiful scenery around here. If you google 'muskoka' that's were i'll be this weekend looking forward to shooting for the first time this year. I'll use your shot as an inspiration of what a perfect outdoorsy in the shadows exposure should be like.

You get my vote for self portrait of the year!
    Hard working dog too.
    Look through a glass eye.
    Give it a few tries.

    Re: Through the trees

Wow, good capture Armando. I also think this is a great spot for a photo. My only complaint is that bright tree trunk in the upper left. Otherwise, muy bien!
