The theatre...Pt. 2
This shot, involving three characters, I thought turned out great. The nice facial expressions, and I personally like the tones.
What do you guys think?
Is the composition good?
Thanks as always,
Jared

Re: The theatre...Pt. 2
I think this would be a good shot to include in some sort of record of the play: the school yearbook, newspaper, a program, or something.
But I'm afraid it's not interesting enough for general viewing if we don't know what the play is about, because this shot tells nothing of the story. It's two people on a couch being talked to by a woman standing over them. She seems happily shocked, or perhaps she's arguing passionately.
But we've seen it before, so without the context of a story, this picture is not terribly interesting for an outsider.

Re: The theatre...Pt. 2
Hi Jared
I think the composition and exposure are great... however there is nothing telling me this is about a play. I think some setting and or partial view of stage would be good.

Re: The theatre...Pt. 2
I think what the first two critiques brought out are very valid. That said let me say you did a pretty good job with the overall iamge. It would serve well for a PR shot to be used in the foyer of the theater or in a newspaper with a discriptive cut line. It would also work well in a yearbook or in the program for the play. I would have like to seen a little more seperation from the back ground of the person in the back, perhaps a hair light or something to give a little more detail there. Nice job on the overall image.

Re: The theatre...Pt. 2
Kelly and villenadecorte, thanks for the words. Looking back now, I understand the context needed. Rough context, the girl in the back just found out that the dumb guy, bottom left, had this grand plan to foil their rival, but the person on the right really just told the dumb guy. The girl is than shocked (shown). It's kind of hard to explain, but that's about the jist of it.
OT, thanks. I know the definition of her dress and background is a little weak.
Thanks all!
