I like this, the almost perfect diagonal line of the three bodies, the callers expression and the nice tonal quality of these three people. And that, I feel should be the point and focus of this image. I feel cropping everything around these three would make it much stronger photo. Otherwise it's way too busy and distracting for me.

I like the story here, an espression of genuine happiness amidst the busy-ness of the city. Can you pull a little more detail out of the blacks? They just seem too dark to me. I'd suggest a left edge crop to remove the lower-left foreground object, but would keep everything else as all the "noise" in the background is an integral part of the story. Nice capture.

Very sharp and interesting. I am not sure about the blacks, maybe they're too dark? Seems that there's absolutely no detail in many of them. I might like it even more if you crop or clone out that bottom left object. Overall, good human interest and emotion shot.

I love the tonal range and the composition, particularly the leitmotif of diagonals. Wonderful perspective. Great b/w conversion (if a conversion took place). And sharp!

Did you have more room on the right originally? Not a big issue, just wondering.

What I find amusing about this shot is that the first 2 ladies have a modern type device in their hands and the third one is looking at her empty hand. Nice little story. But I think there would need to be a tighter crop to convey it better. Of course, this story may not be your intention at all.

AE, great tonal range and a very nice B&W u got here. Bottom left is a bit of a disctraction. I also wish the black pole wasn't 'coming out of' the main subject's head. overall great street scene.

First thing first: it was shot in raw then converted to black and white. Cropped a tiny bit from the top, about one third up from the bottom and one quarter off the left. The right side of the photo is as shot.

The photo was taken with a 105 macro lens.

Regarding the blacks. Actually, most of them are not pure black; they actually have details :p OK, they could be adjusted for sure. :)

I have thought about cloning/cropped out what's in the bottom left but concerned that it would then left with an empty space in that corner. I agree the light pole "coming out" of the main subject's head is a concern, my main concern actually. To improve (if we can call that), I would have to step closer and stood more in front but at an angle to the main subject. But then the facial expression of the other "subjects" would not be as clear.

Good thing is, these days there're tons of people talking on the phone, checking e-mail, texting, etc. on the streets :D :D

I'd worry about losing some of the sense of the surroundings with a crop.
