Texas Sunrise
I took this photo from my front porch earlier this year.

Again, I would have really liked to see this image in its full resolution. The colours are stunning, showing the skillful contrast. However, I feel a sillhouette wouldn't really suit this shot. But all in all, a good effort.

Almost nailed it. Looks about 2/3 stop underexposed. I don't mind having the strong sense of shadow over the houses and porches, but I do want to see the lines and shapes that make those houses and porches. A little bit of shadow detail to give the shot more texture. And the result should be an even more vibrant sky as well.
Also: the reflection off the roof of the van (?) is really a nice touch.

I don’t know what equipment you used for this shot but for me the extra dark foreground hurts an otherwise excellent the image. If I was shooting it with my Digital camera I would shoot in RAW mode and develop the RAW file once for the sky and then a second time for the houses then combine the two in photoshop to retain the beautiful sky and still have detail in the houses below.

Another take
I am not a grizzled, seasoned veteran of hardcore photography. I am just a simple artist turned photographer. I would've cropped out the forground car because I think it distracts from the point of interest...the funky patterns of light and color in the sky. While I agree that a touch more exposure in the buildings would have made it pop, I think there is not enough reflection in the car roof to add to the composition and "story" of the photo. But that is just me...otherwise good catch!
