    Re: Texas Irrigation

I think I would either crop a little sky out or a little grass where it wouldn't be quit so centered but I like how the irrigation machine leads my eye thru the shot. The sky is a little on the dull side so I might lean towards cropping it. But easily fixed and a good picture. You might also have a slight lean to the right?

    Re: Texas Irrigation

I really find serenity in this photo, probably because the grass is soooooooo lush. I bet a herd of cows would luv to munch in that field.

It seems to be a pleasant shot overall. There is something a little disturbing with how the sky and field is split. I would suggest weighting one or the other, but at the same time they both seem equally important to me, so I wouldn't know which to emphasize. Another subject or two in the field might have solved this. There seems to be a very slight tilt to the horizon. The green is very rich and provides a good base for the more fantasy-like colors in the sky.

    Re: Texas Irrigation

Overall I like it, I think that the composition is great and the enormous structure contrasts well against the excellent green crop below. Yes there is a slight tilt to the right that could be easily corrected, the white building that breaks the horizon is also slightly distracting but I really like the green and would also suggest on cropping out some of the sky, it would have been interesting to have seen the same shot using a grad filter, not that I am an expert on that by any means but it seems that there might be more to the sky than we are seeing with this version.
