    Teacups

I really like the colors of the cups in this picture, but the lights are "washed" out. Not sure what I should have done differently. If I use a faster shutter I should get less wash on the lamps, but lose the blur from the cups.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks

Ahh good ol' Disneyland! The one thing I'd recommend for your light problem is possibly cut them out and leave the shutter open even another 1/50th of a second. Though you lose some flavour, I think you'd get a neat shot of the reflection of the lights and the moving teacups.

    Good shot,

Nice colors and agree with your concerns. The only solution I think would be to use a neutral density filter that would reduce the light at the upper half of the shot and allow normal exposure for the bottom half.

Nice capture. A tripod would have really helped with this exposure. The stationary lights would be nice and crisp. But, who walks arround with a tripod all the time.

Like gahspidy said, a graduated ND filter would do the job. A solid ND filter would be too much, and your exposure probably wouldn't include the teacups. Good photo. It is not as bad as you think though.
