TC Abstract
This is a long exposure I took at my buddy's show the other night. I really love the thought of "painting" with light in these type of photographs. I tried to keep the camera as still as possible for the first 5 seconds, then trailed off for the other 2...I'm no Picasso, but I think this one turned out nice. I kicked up the contrast +25 in photoshop and burned a bit of his guitar. Thoughts welcome.

Re: TC Abstract
I love it except for the actual guitarist, whom I would rather see normally exposed. One possibility to get that would be to shoot him with flash on B setting but with a very small aperture, which might blacken out the background. Then continue to leave the lens open for more exposure. But this would only work if he was dark and the background was illuminated. Anyone else know what to do??

Re: TC Abstract
Beyond my capability to be able to critique this. I don't like the blue streaks going through the guitarists head. The composition is good and I like the move off to the right of the guitarist. Might have been nice with a tripod swing so the left side would be sharp. Well done. S.

Re: TC Abstract
Thank you for the input.... I must say that the blue streaks through the singers head are my favorite part of the piece...besides the "waves" off to the right of the subject. I think the streaks are what this type of shot is all about. It was clearly an experiment, and I guess you can say an accident, but I feel that something could be said about the stand-out streaks of light shooting out from the musicians mouth....

Re: TC Abstract
You know the blue streaks are growing on me, guess I'm not use to seeing shots like this. I do like it though. S
