Excellent capture, Yoyo. Everything seems to be in order here. I like the way the street is framed on either side by the buildings.

    Yoyo,

I most enjoy your diagonal lines as a bottom border and as a zone that no one, it seems, will dare to cross.

Interesting image. Thank you for sharing.

great perspective, shows a very orderly, though crowded street! I like the choice of b&w, not only because of the urban theme, but because of the time of day. centering the street adds impact. very nice!

As usual Yoyo, good work. I especially like the lines through the intersection, as they fit perfectly with your title. They almost seem like a threshold between two worlds.

    Re: Twilight Zone

Yoyo - There's something about this shot. Like CL said everyone is really steering of the lined area. It's therefore very regimented/organized, somewhat symmetric, and has a great title (I feel like this is a scene from the old "Twilight Zone" series). The only thing I would have liked would be if you could sho even more of the lined area, assuming that there were no people in it just below the crop.

Oh, and the black and white worked quite well here.

    Re: Twilight Zone

The bright sky overwhelms me here, and there is nothing else interesting enough for me to look at. Lots of stuff going on, but the intensity of the sky just keeps distracting me. And for that reason alone, I just don't think it works for me.

I always pour praise on your work, gotta balance it sometime, right? ;)

Great point of view here. As stated, the diagonal lines at the bottom works nicely. I like the traffic waiting for the time to move on while the pedestrians take their short oppurtunity to make it across. The sky does not bother me too much

    Re: Twilight Zone

    Yoyo,

Something has been disturbing me about this photo for some time. The sky is too bright? Not sure, I like the framing and everything else, I just think it doesn't give the twilight effect I would expect from the title. Perhaps for me its just the title is wrong, perhaps 'Rush Hour' would be a better title and then it falls into place, sky and all.

    Re: Twilight Zone

nice shot yoyo. The sky is a bit bright but it doesn't bother me all that much. To me it looks like a cloudy capture. I don't understand how it would be so bright after sundown or even how there are no trails to the people if it's a longer exposure.

Anyway, I like it as a whole, love the action of the people crossing, the criscrossing lines at the bottom and that one van that breaks up the perspective (I think it's a great addition).

    well done.

    Re: Twilight Zone

Hi GB, Thanks for your perspective. Yes, the inclusion of the boxed area would increase the difference between the busy and the empty areas.

Hi Sebastian, Your point about the bright sky is valid. The sun went down at 6:00 pm and the shot was taken at 6:04 pm. I should have taken the shot a bit later.

Hi Gary, Thanks a lot for the analysis. Glad that it works for you.

Hi Roger, I agree with you that the sky is too bright. The reason for the title is because the shot was taken in the twilight. Thanks for the alternative title.

Hi LeeIs, I was also surprised that the sky was so bright as I had planned to take the shot and had checked the astronomical data. The shot was taken at high ISO, thus the walking persons are sharp but not blurry. I did not notice the front van until you mentioned it. Sharp observation!
