Re: Table Salt
Good eye for the idea, even though it is a tad plain. The implementation of it could be stronger if you used more DOF and a stable tripod. Did you shoot with a macro? I would assume so - that is close! The exposure seems right on.

Re: Table Salt
This is interesting. I often thought of it but never did it--didn't think I could.

Re: Table Salt
This is a cool idea...I like the white on black. I think I'd like it even better if it didn't have the even smaller specks of salt here and there...if it were all just clean little cubes on the black background.
Cool shot nonetheless!

Re: Table Salt
I like this it is well balanced and well executed, I would imagine this would be a great picture blown up to a large size.

Re: Table Salt
Christian - How do you like the D200? I am considering it myself. The D80 doesn't accept non-CPU lenses, so it'll have to be the D200 or bust.

Re: Table Salt
Its hard to put this into words GB1...but simply stated, the D200 is quite spectacular!
I used to shoot with a D70, but the D200 feels so much more solid. It performs 100% better at high ISOs, WB is dead on every time, and it just feels like a professional camera. There is really no comparison to the D70. I couldnt be happier with it and i recommend it to everyone who can afford it.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
