I don't know about this one. Did I pull too much 'recovery' out of the sky? Let me know what you think.

I think this is a challenging one because the light is the back as there were some clouds in the sky. The composition is good and the colors look ok. I would consider adding a gradient filter to the back to darken the clouds and the actually add a little light to the foreground.

Maybe i'll crop this one like a pano, leve less sky, and less grass under the tree line , the sky, i think , is not attractive

Very nice Liban I like the contrasting difference from the foreground to the village and mountains. I think it gives it some depth. My first though when it popped up was pan slightly left bring more of the valley into the shot and moving the village more to the right third of the shot. But not knowing first hand what distractions you were shooting around or what your thoughts are? Any way a nice picture and certainly a wall hanger.

The image has a blue overcast and hallows around the cliff and the trees in the background. The front line of trees is very dark, you should try bringing their shadow detail back.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your thoughts.

llew, the thing is, I did some highlight recovery to the clouds and I think my main problem was that the sky isn't bright enough. I don't think getting it even darker will solve this. I think blown out might have worked better.

Armando, I think that's a good solution to my sky problems. I also see why you would want most of that big bump gone from the background.

Greg, The contrast in light between the different areas is what made me like this to an extent too. That cloud did me a favour by covering a certain area. I'll have to look and see if I have more of the left side in another shot. I usually shoot all around so it's possible. I don't think there were any distractions on the left side, I think it was me trying to get the big slope going downhill on the right side. Without that, most of the tree/mountain lines would be on the same level.

Gerald, I hadn't notice either of the blue cast or the halos before you mentioned them. Thanks for pointing them out.

Don't know how much you can do with the sky. I don't think you had a polarizer on.
Composition is very good....just wish you had softer light.

Hmm. A lot to take in here Liban, great scene, beautiful country. It's a little faded out in the distance due to the fog or general haze (or your recovery), but there's an interesting contrast between foreground and back. I wish it were a little sharper to show off the detail, but don't know whether that's my monitor.
