    Re: Sweet Lorraine, Plate 1

I think the last one is great. A very unique kind of portrait. Very good.

    Thanks.

Another edit taking into account GB's call for bringing out eyes and lips:

I think you could make her famous along with yourself. Even the best pictures can be picked apart and everyone approach it differently. I think this is brilliant. You do some of the best portrait work I have seen.
I love the grungy gritty look.

    The edit is certainly better

The only comment I have is that I can not see a jaw line, her cheek goes under her chin , not flatering in my opinion, easy to prevent if she moves her head forward half an inch, like a turtle

The sharpening on the eye helps direct the attention

Thanks, Armando. Noted for next time.

To complicate matters further, another take which I personally like much better. Looks a lot more like her, expression is more appropriate for the character, etc. Might waste my energy on this one, instead.

yup , I like the last one better

    eye more open and focused
    mouth slightly more straight
    better jaw line

and hand and cigarette now in focus

Thanks, armando. Maybe this is a better direction. Better representation of her (and her character), for sure.

Thanks, Greg! Yes, a "mutual faming" would be nice. Though I have a lot further to go than she does.

    Appreciate the comment.
