The survivors
In response to GB's enquiry about our man made pine forests I had to "Go Bush" early yesterday and got this. These are temporary survivors of a area harvested and which will soon to be replanted in young pines

Re: The survivors
This image really appeals to me, probably because it seems familiar, having seen fog lifting from forest ridges often. After returning to look at it several times, I am not coming up with any significant critique to offer. When viewed in smaller format, the fog almost seems to be photoshopped on to the image, but when I open the larger version it appears very natural.

Re: The survivors
And 'Go Bush' goes with GB. :p Like it, though I would consider cropping a tad off the sides and making it a bit tighter. Maybe add a tad more contrast too? (personal preference).
These trees do look artificial, as they are so straight. That's usually due to them being so (planted) apart from each other, hence they don't have to twist to get the sunlight. Plus they're all the same size, meaning they took sprout at the same time (another sign they were planted). Still, very nice. I would consider throwing a green and red effect on it next Christmastime.

Re: The survivors
A little more contrast might help it, but I like the effect the mist creates!
