    Sunset pic

I took this photo as the sun was setting. The tops of these native plants caught the last light of the sun. This was taken on the west coast of Auckland in New Zealand.

Welcome to the forum, I love the colors in the photo and warm glows off of the heads of grass. The horizon looks tilted prbably due to a nice wide angle lens, I'd give the shot a slight tile to the left.. bout it!

    cheers.

Welcome to the forum!! My first impression of this photo was wow! I love the colors, and they way the light highlights the grass in the foreground, as Paul mentioned above. This shot has a great mood to it also. Very nice shot. Keep them coming!

This is a great shot! The colors in the foreground and the absolute depth of the coastline bring it all together.

    Great work!

Nice lighting, composition and mood. I was wondering if that was tilt on the horizon, or partly barrel distortion on the lens? Hard to tell with the land on the right.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

    Best wishes,

That's a great shot! The light is fantastic. I do agree the horizon is slightly tilted, and the one bit of stalk that is in the shadow(I think that's what it is)took me a while to figure out what it was. All in all very nice shot.

Many thanks everyone for your comments and the warm welcome! I think the tripod was on a slightly uneven surface which may have caused the tilt. It was my first shoot using a tripod so still getting the hang of it.
