    Slinky DNA

I have returned to the Slinky. I found a way to suspend it and then had to light it.

    Re: Slinky DNA

Slinkies have changed since I was a kid! Back in the day they were made of spring steel, rather than plastic. Still, the plastic ones look like being a useful photographic prop.

You have lit this well and I can see possibilities here. I am not sure this one really keeps the attention - perhaps if you stretched them slightly and separated them to get that double helix implied in the title? Also, I think a picture like this really demands that you keep it sharp - it seems to have fallen off quite a bit at the top right. Still, I would certainly keep working at it.

    Cheers

I like it. You got the lighting quite nice in this. There seems to be colour noise in the BG. Did you shoot this in high ISO? if so, I would crank that down to 200.

It was at 100. It might be light traces or sharpening. Though I am trying to see where it is. Is it in the lower section?

Pretty cool. I feel like part of the top could be cropped off.

yeah starts midway, and all the way down. it's noise that has different colour pixels in it. don't remember what it was called.

Decent I think! Could rotate to create other designs, too (a W, an M, etc). I like the deep black.
