    Buried Schwinn

I feel like I'm posting a lot lately.. but I just found this old shot on my computer and I'm really wondering what it might be worth... is it any good?

    David,

Except for the blown out stones/pebbles I really like this.

This is a nice shot. Has a great nostalgic feel to it. Would love to see this with a nice sepia treatment to add to the feeling.

Of course I noticed those too, and I'm not sure if there is much I can do about them. I would need to check with the original shot again. At least they arent totally blown out, since there is a bit of transition area on them, sort of giving off a feeling of what the light was like, coming through the trees... Thanks for the comments.

As someone who owns old bikes I like the shot a lot. The blown out highlight on the rim though keeps distracting my eye though.

Yes the lighting really brings a 3d effect to this...personally the stones don't affect me..I am more drawn to the soft lighting on the dirt up and below the wheel...Nice picture.

Thanks for the continued comments.. I'll see, someday, what I can do about the bright parts. I may be able to fix it to make it look even better. I knew it was a good shot, but didn't think it would be so well liked.

    David,
Have you tried selectively burning them in so that they are slightly toned down?

I have not yet tried that... I'll see if I know how to do it, and give it a shot. Thanks for the help, and if I need to know any more about burning I will be sure to ask.

    Re: Buried Schwinn

Interesting perspective. The lighting makes it seem like it's a display in a museum. I like how pretty much everything is sharp - good DOF that is. For improvement, I think maybe a clearer central part of the image, where you know where to look, might make it better. Perhaps a bit of color too. But nice already
