    Sun peeking through
I was at the beach taking some surf action pictures when the sun started to break out yesterday. Anyway, I took this photo and bumped the contrast a little bit. It would have been really nice to have a red filter out there yesterday.

    What do you think?

awesome job! great shot, but i'll say what i say to almost everybody else - lets see the color version!

my critique would probably be firstly, the distortion. Its kind of a mixed bag for me, its distracting but it also makes the shot kind of cool. particularly with the clouds. The rock on the bottom left doesnt seem to be present enough, and in the upper right corner the cloud looks a bit too blown out.

other then that my hats off to you! Great shot! if you dont have the color the bw should work too but id really like to see the color, and i think it would work better!

    Thanks for the critiques fellas!

Anbesol: The distortion is from the 15mm lens I was using. The distortion is less than the lens really offers becuase of my camera (30D). Here's the color version of the image. I like the color version, but can't get the lower half of the image to really pop as much as I'd like.

Yogestee: I used the Canon 15mm F2.8 lens on my 30D.
