A study of light and shadow...
... and a bit of luminence. Any comments? Shot with flood lighting and a hand-held piece of cardboard to give the shadow at the bottom of the frame.
Re: A study of light and shadow...
This composition and lighting has poential, but it somewhat ruined by the technical faults. It's not sharp enough, somewhat grainy (?), tilted a bit, etc. I can see that you were tryng to be creative in the angle of the dark foreground. Although this could have worked, it doesn't - I'm not sure why, but it has a sliding feel to it, like the glass is going to tip over ( too many drinks? ;|~ ).
This shot is worth a re-shoot: try getting the same items together and fix the above items, and also try to increase the contrast just a tad. I think that if redone properly you will have an excellant shot.
Re: A study of light and shadow...
It appears as if you have lost focus on the front lip of the glass and the very front beads(?).
Re: A study of light and shadow...
Re-shot this last night, and changed the focus to the lip of the glass. I'll re-post the new pic as soon as I get the film back from the lab... hopefully tomorrow.

Re: A study of light and shadow...
Part Deux. Hopefully, better quality. I was unable to duplicate the shadow, due to a lack of time to hunt up the shade.
