Re: studio
Hi This photo is crispy sharp!! Well done in a macro shot.
But is the underlying material glossy? Personally in macro photos I look at simplicity more than any other elements. In this photo The reflection does more or less draw my eyes from the main subject. And the line where the white background meets the floor is also quite visible and distracting I think. But do correct me if you disagree.

I would have to agree. Try black ard, or cropping in to a specific part of the leaf. But great otherwise.

Re: studio
The front tips of the leave are out of focus. I like the color of the leave and the crack adds to the shot.

Re: studio
looks like your WB is off...is the background suppose to be white? or... does it have that greenish hue usually.?

Re: studio
Great concept, and almost right. As Greg mentioned, the near leaf tips should be in focus (it's fine that the distant part of the leaf is fading -- it gives it more character). I love the reflecting surface and I think that perhaps more of that and less of the area above the leaf should be shown? It also looks like the image is tilted about 2-4 degrees CW and that should be fixed. Great horizontal positioning of the leaf in the frame (distances on left and right from the edge of the frame). Excellent lighting.

noooooooooo, I like the color you have here. It's good that the WB didn't change it, that is. :p
