    Stormy Sky (kids)

The little girls name is Stormy and the boy is Skyler...... These were pictures taken with 'not so good' backgrounds(kitchens, etc) but I am trying to make these still look like good portraits..... What do you think? What else can I do to make them better?

    Precious Kids!!!!
I think with the first one, the chopped arm bothers me..The back ground seems fine to me and overall the image is a tad soft...However, the eyes, the smile, the head tilt, the color...Its Great....

the second image is my fav of the two you posted..That one is nice and sharp, good natural colors..The only thing that ''sort'' of bothers me is again the chopped arm, but really in this one, it is really nit picking...Then again this is the critique forum...

In both of these images you have the crop tight on the sides and bottom with a lot of empty space at the top of the frame. If you crop tight from the top too then those cut off arms are just going to look like the result of a close-up and won't be as noticeable.

BTW I think you did a great job with the backgrounds.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I seem to always agree with MB1's crop suggestions. Nice work and great subjects.....
