    Gecko

C+C greatly appreciated. More DoF, or do you like the way the focus fades into black? perhaps more light? Black and white? I dunno, you tell ME!!

I like this, if his/her eyes had have been open it would have worked better. I too like how it falls of into the dark. I also like the angle that you used.

the eye bing closed spoils it for me.. a smaller aperture than f4.5 would have just brought the nose in focus a little more.. nearly there but not quite..

i like the black and the way the focus fades off to the rear of the eyes..

    Re: Gecko

    Thanks guys,

I had to read your posts a few times to get what you are talking about...I kept saying, the eye is open, it has no eyelids and couldn't close it even if it wanted to...then it occured to me that perhaps you meant it would be better if the pupil was more dilated - i think so too, I'll have to figure out some way to take pictures in the dark to get less of a pupil slit!

I find that interesting. Maybe some light dodging in PS to bring out a little more detail. I still like it. Be sure to post in Nature and Wildlife as well.

I would like to see a bit cropped off the top and the right. Make the animal fill the image.
As far as the lighting, focus and color; I like it all.
