    Storm Brewing In Mongolia

I welcome positive or negative comments.

It will be interesting to see if this finds it's way to my gallery.
None of my last 3 or 4 shots arrived there. Anyone else with this problem?

Nice scene. I'd like it a little lighter on the prairie so I could see little more detail.

I have the same gallery problem, only one of the two images I posted today ended up there.

    Re: Storm Brewing In Mongolia

I want to love this image, but there is not enough in it to say "Mongolia" to me. What I see first is the light part of the sky, and then the storm. The yurt draws little attention. I would see if there is a way to increase the light / contrast on the yurt and the people behind it, so the feature is Mongolia, with the storm behind it as a nice additive to the overall scene. It must have been a great trip though...

To, I agree with llewpics comments but also feel that you should remove the people standing there. To me on this size screen image they look like tourists standing around.
The sky is brilliat and dramatic. I think you could dodge a bit more light and exposure on the land.

    Very nice.

As for the gallery issues, anyone experiencing these problems can adress them in the Site Feedback forum. there is already a thread about this problem and it would be a good idea to also voice your experiences and concerns on this there as well.

    Re: Storm Brewing In Mongolia

First of all, very nice colors and exposure. I can make out the detail of the foreground subjects and still enjoy the nice sunset/rise.

But I also wish it was wider! I could see this one as an awesome super wide angle shot. it looks about 35-50mm here. It also seems a tad clean, like a movie set that took the tent (yurt) right out of the bag, or maybe it's too lined up and geometric? Just not the way I envision Mongolia

I'd like to see some nastier weather, but I wouldn't want to be out in it taking the photos either Did you recently go there?

I agree bringing up the lightening the foreground would help. I keep wanting to see more of whats going on in the field. Maybe a larger post wouud help. I also think it may be cropped to tight on the left. Put the tent torwards the exact third and more space between the people and the frames edge.

I think a problem with this shot is that everything tends to be small. I mean nothing really jumps on you and demands attention from my eyes. The clouds are the most demanding element, and rightfully so, since you were shooting for the storm. but i believe that they aren't strong enough, not moody enough. I do like the tones though, throughout the entire shot.
