    Stood Up - Holga

Taken in the Philippines as the sun began to set. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Re: Stood Up - Holga

It's a pretty decent Holga picture I think. Sure, in an ideal world, a little more detail at the bottom would be nice, but that's a Holga for you! I rather like the heart - it instantly struck me that the man was on his own, so you have a disjunction between the heart (which symbolises love and companionship), and the man who has nobody. It made an immediate emotional impact on me. The title, I know, implies all this, but I think I would have seen this even without a title. Good stuff.

    Cheers

Is this (and other Holga) images captured with the venerated Holga camera? It definitely has the look!

I like the composition and colors. To my eye it looks a little off level but other than that it is very iconographic and easily reaches people.
