Re: Steps
I like the viewpoint here Leels and what you have included. I feel though that the large foreground area, which I like in this case could do with a little someting on it be it a person, person on bike, car etc.
Perhaps taking this shot at an earlier time in the evening would have left you with a nice dark blue to the sky.

Re: Steps
Interesting viewpoint, good exposure and light.
I'd crop about half the foreground between the bottom and the lamp post, watching the lines of the pavement so they don't get cut off awkwardly.

Re: Steps
thanks guys, yes when i remove some of the bottom, it gets better. I wanted to keep the aspect ratio, but I guess sometimes that isn't that important. Also, agreed with the sky being too black.

Re: Steps
Liban,
I think you could probably remove some of the right to get back closer to aspect ratio as well. For me, that second lamp post is strange and confusing. There does not appear to be enough room for it to be behind the stairs, and yet it gives to indication that it's a reflection either. Geometrically it seems like it can't or shouldn't be there. (I know there's a reason it is, just can't understand it by the photo as presented).
I like the forward lamp post a lot, so maybe crop down to the face of the stairway and a little off the bottom would work well here...

Re: Steps
Less foreground for me too. Other than that a very nice composition.
I like the double street lamps.

Re: Steps
Jetrim said exactly what I was thinking. Please try again on this one if you can't get a good crop because I think the area is definitely photo-worthy.

Re: Steps
Very nice. Without reading the above I'd crop out the light on the far right and a bit of the foreground. You have a good eye on this well done. S

Re: Steps
ok so pretty much a semi-consensus on the lamp on the right. I didn't mind it as much as it sorta echoed the main lamp. But, understood. Thanks guys :)
