    Getting in the halloween spirit...

    Really pushed the high pass sharpening on this one, is it too much?

    I think it's too much. You could probably stand to clone out that red thing at top left too. I would think that some less direct lighting would be more appropriate for something like this.
    mostly Nikon gear

    I like this. Yep, def too much high pass, but as Jeff said it does go with the subject. I'm not crazy about its effect on the hair though. A fine sharpening with a low radius should bring out some very nice textures.
