    They're both awesome but the color in the top one is unbelieveable! Blow it up huge!

    I like the second one. Sure it's cliche, but it's a cliche I can't freaking get enough of.

    I am gonna go hang my head in shame now.

    I like the one with the railing best. It's comfortable to look at. Nice work!

    Very nice colors, are these digital?

    What were the camera settings and how much post processing?

    I've got some scenery around here that can get a decent sunset behind it once in a while but with film and consumer prints the results are limited. I wish to redo some with digital and PS.

    Re: Warning! {Cliche Sunsets}

    Thanks Guys.
    The first one has +10 saturation, +5 contrast, and I added some blue in the color balance.

    The Second one has +15 saturation, and +10 contrast.

    I really need to start working with curves more. I know it will help me get a lot better with editing not only making a better looking picture but a cleaner edit also.

    Cliche Mliche... A good shot is a good shot. Both very pretty captures.

    I love that second shot--there a fine sharp color line that leads my eye up into the picture. I like the first one too. You really captured the color.

    The second one is a good composition cliche or no cliche. I might be inclined to reduce saturation and contrast a bit though.

    The second one is my favorite, it has more to it. GORGEOUS colors. I'm a painter, so I often think in terms of paint when I see pictures and I got excited when I saw this because cadmiums are so abundant. That probably makes no sense to you....

    Thanks guys. I just looked up the definition of cadmium and it says an element on the table of elements lol.

    Really greats shots. The combination of colors in the first image is beyond anything...it's amazing what the simplicity of nature can capture.

    Cadmium is referring to the bright oranges, yellows and reds. They're lead based paints that really punch out hard to get colors.
