    Stairway
I really like the bottom part of this shot, the top, not so much. I can't think of a way that i could've improved it. Any ideas? The possibility of a re-shoot is slim. I just want feed back on how you would've improved the top portion. Also, if you already like the top part, yaay!

Edit: I'm actually on the structure that I pictured in the other thread 'steps' that i started an hour ago. Just to give you a feel of the location.

I see what you mean. All those lights other than the lamp post are quite distracting from your interesting subject.
Don't know what you could have done, otherwise, unless you could have moved to your left and shot more down the stairs. Doesn't look so busy in that direction but no way for me to tell, of course.

I don't mind the lights at the top -- however I think I would crop out the very top down to the first light pole. Cool shot. Makes me want to grab a bannister!

Neat shot. I'm not exactly sure what to suggest. But I would somehow like to see a version leaving in only the wall and the stairs. It might qualify as a really cool abstract.

I might try Paula's idea, too.

But I like the shot as is. The stairs are really awesome!

A very nice shot... I personally really enjoy night shots.

I don't find the background lights that distracting at all.

I think the only thing I would do is perhaps lighten the shadows just a fraction of a tad to give just a bit more detail in the wall/banister, which would pull my eye away from the very dark area in the background (about 1/3 of the way down, just above the banister)

Otherwise, I really like the photo.

    Love the composition!
The board blocking the stairs is what makes it.
.....These beautiful stairs will take you down,........but you still can't get there.
The only way I can see to impove it would be using a tripod to improve depth of field.
IE: get the street level to the same sharpness as the stairs.

I really like this shot except for the barricades at the bottom of the steps. The lights on the stairs draw your eyes down, then the lamp posts draw you eyes up.

Liban, I'm with Dray on the isolating the steps approach. I think the steps and the lights are interesting enough to just fill the frame with. The colors and textures on those steps are very cool and the little round lights bring them out as well as form a neat curvy line.
