I like the comp, the tight DOF works very well here.Super Tack sharp, great texture in those B/W tones. Nice shot Larry.

Did you shoot this with the micro nikkor 2.8 / 105mm lense? Curious.

Thanks Rick This one was with the 80-200mm f2.8 at ISO 200 and f4 mounted on the Nikon 4 mgp D2h.

OT, nice photo and I like the composition. It tells a story.

A couple of minor things that need looking at the shadow behind the top most spur and just above it. An edge of a coat or something just poking its nose in at the top right.

If you can loose these then its a real hanger.

Thanks for the input Roger. Here is a quick clone removing the leather strap hanging off the saddle and the shadow of a stone on the ground. This was pretty much a grab shot as my daughter in law was saddling up for a morning ride.

OT - I like the concept but not necessarily the photo. The issue I see is that the background is ho hum and that the angle is too pedestrian. I also don't like how the other foot's in the way. Maybe a flatter angle would be better and in a better environment, like grass, so that it seems like he's in the fields. The black and white was a nice choice here.
