    Spot color
With the autumn colors past their prime here, you have isolate the colors that are left.
Here's ome color I found this morning. Any suggestions are welcome. Which do you prefer?

    Hey Chunk,
Both are nice. I like the first better. The colors are more complementary for me. In fact I really like the first one.

I wish that the DOF was greater though... such that the focus of the leaves was just as sharp as the wall.
    Cheers,

I like the shadows in the first one. They play around the vine as if there should be leaves there.

Thanks Tim. You are right about the sharpness, it got a little muddy in reducing it for posting and this shot does not tolerate sharpening well - probably because of the texture in the cement. I think it will be better in the print.
I also warmed the first shot a bit and that may have lost some detail in the leaves for me. Does anyone care to tell me what they think about the difference in color temp?

Thanks Mark. I think the shadows are what make these shots, even though it is the color that first attracts the eye. I think I like the more sinuos composition of the second shot.

    Hi Chunk,
It's good to hear that the leaves are sharp in your full size. That just makes it a great image. Also, I prefer the warmer white balance.

Chunk, To me the first shot is the bottom, light cement. 2nd shot is on top, warm cement.
The 2nd shot is the better of the 2 with more even lighting and better color, contrast.
The first shot is, however interesting to me because the shadows look as if there should be leaves at the end of the empty red stalks. The cement unfortunatly looks blow out and pale.
I might not have noticed the interesting shadows if I had not seen them both.
    Mark.

I like the darker cement shot better. Great lighting and I love the shadow.
