Re: Splash
wow , crazy blue ! excellent clouds
I would crop the bottom , up to before the reflection of the people on the edge
how come they are right on the edge and the photo is from what seems 20m away ?
where is this ?

Re: Splash
Beautiful! I like the saturation. Very painterly.
I'm really not sure about the bottom. I love the color and I think the image loses something without it.

Re: Splash
I think the splash is cool, but I think there is too much sky taking away from it. Kind of a blue and white lost in a blue and white. I might think about cropping a little above the tallest wave. Keep some sky, but definitely reduce it.

Re: Splash
You might pick up the trash. Other than that, well done.

Re: Splash
The blue is a bit too much for me. I wouldn't crop any more but do wish there were something in the bottom left of the photo other than the trash nearby :) . Like that you have those folks there.

Re: Splash
Thanks guys. Appreciate the input. Every time I opened this thread the blue would blind me lol. I toned it down below.
Armando, I don't know what you mean. They are actually cuban kids in havana playing with the water, they sit on the edge for a purpose, to get splashed. I stayed away ;) I was at the edge of where the water reached. just slightly outside the fury. HUGE waves where crashing the sea wall. Malecon.

Re: Splash
Ha! Funny shot for some reason Liban. Seems like a miniaturized toy set maybe, or ?
The extra sky at the top makes for an unusual composition. The waves and their power are really evident.
Two issues I believe, though: not enough detail on the people (looks like it's exposed for the waves and sky, not the people. Good to do?), and, the people are too small. I know that you've backed off trying to encompass the waves and their energy, but my eyes are more attracted to the surfers, and they're too small in the frame. Post another version here where it's zoomed/cropped in on them, see what we have ............

Re: Splash
GB, thanks for the advice. I didn't have any closer shots, but I did crop it a bit tighter. It's a bit soft. My focus seems to be problematic a lot of the times.
