Re: Spider Fog
I like that you tried this subject from varying angles and compositions. I feel the second composition is the best of the three. The background is an asset here rather than a distraction. The vertical posts, as framed, and the color of the lawn bring a pleasing effect. The detail and texture evident in the pole is another element that adds to the image. The web is clear and sharp as well as the water droplets lending the feel of a wet, foggy day.
The third is not bad either, but the second one is the keeper, I feel

Re: Spider Fog
Good eye, good catch. They seem like good Halloween shots. I find them all good in their own way. I think that various crops could also produce many different feelings here (esp the bottom shot). Too bad the spider took cover from the rain....

Re: Spider Fog
I think #2 is the winner for me - because the web is clear and distinctive against an interesting background which lends context to where the criter lives.
#3 bottom is too dark for me and the web blends too much into the background
#1 Looks good but the sky has too many competing distractions - power lines.

Re: Spider Fog
Thanks guys...:D
I appreciate the feedback. It's something you don't see every day.
It's all about... Eyes open

Re: Spider Fog
I like #3 the most for one reason... it emphasizes how difficult it is to actually notice spider webs in real life. The fact that it blends in some areas and dissappears in others is so indicative of shooting wildlife and such in-situ.
That being said however #2 is also an outstanding image.

Re: Spider Fog
Yeah,
Jaedon. I was thinking the same thing. #3 the dark top frame adds to the mystery..What lives here.  Yet # 2 is my Fav.' Having my Canon with me reminds me... Any time, any place a photo Op.' may present itself. Here is a perfect example. :D Thank You for your critique.
Much appreciated.
