    Space Available

Found a month ago. This isn't a crop, this is the shot. Minor pp adjustments. Is there anything I could have done differently? Does it work in context with the title?

Nice sentimental photo. Good for a greeting card. You might try in black and white.

excellent composition and perspective, nice work filling the frame.

I like the dof and subject. The weeds coming up through the bench are cool.

a very well composed picture, and i like the weeds coming thru as well,as for the title,i was expecting something in the lines of space, scifi, i would of gone for something old, nostalgic,in reference to, occupancy required, memories long forgot, thats my opinion and great picture.

it works extremely well with the context. It seems like space has been available for a while, lol. As far as doing something differently. I think the foreground twigs, I could've lived without. But the ones coming through the seat are great. Nice find John, my brain isn't wired to find great subjects like this. Well done.

Liban---I know what you mean about the foreground. I wish I'd thought of it then, and I'd have pulled some of those. Thanks for the comments.

polarbear--I also thought 'vacancy' might have been a good one too. Sometimes I get stuck with titles.

Mr Yuck---Thanks so much. Those weeds coming thru the slats are what really inspired me to make this shot.

    Don---I was toying with a b & w treatment. Still might. Thanks.

    John,

I am going to go against the grain here, To me the whole picture could be made much better if you had moved to the left a fraction so that the grass growing through the bars were separated from the arm of the chair so that you could see their tops.

The colours and textures are really nice in the metal and you captured those well.

yes, Roger, I see what you're saying. That definately would have been better. I hope to get another chance at it sometime. Thanks for the suggestion.

I like the composition fine. The weeds growing up through it adds to the overall feel. Nice angle. I agree that a B&W might work well here too. Nice shot
