Excellent subject, especially with all the hens around. the composition is fine, but the blown out sky keeps this one down a notch. Although it still is a fine image with the lack of sky, it might have been all the stronger with a dramatic sky full of clouds. good shooting

I agree on the subject matter... as well as the sky...personally in this image i like it better blown out...keeps the focus on the "rustic building"

But the small triangular intrusion to the right of the image just above the second rustic building (aren't they hen houses??? ) is a little bothersome for me...

The way i see it you got 2 options:

1- different angle, by going a bit more to your left and panning right...thereby showing more of the shape...guessing its trees in the distance or a mountain...

    2- simply crop it out...

I do think however, that a different angle would have been better since the hen at the bottom is cut by the wooden pole too...

These are things i believe would have made it better.... but i like the image and the feeling it gives....

I simply adore this building and the presence of the hens is a great bonus.I enjoy scanning this barn and finding all the old bits of wood and implements. The skyless sky is no help here but it is just one of those days. Looks as if a good day could be spent with the camera exploring this subject.
    Very nice.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

interesting and nice image.. nothing much to be done about the sky except cloning in a fake one.. skies like that are just a fact of life for those who dont live in predominantly sunny climes..

again another shot that shows a different (closer to nauture) world than the one we are used to..
