    Is it too soon?

It's been so cloudy here in Michigan this winter.
    I crave some color.
I hope it's not too soon for a flower capture.

God bless you - I am so ready for spring. Love the little dance around the maypole effect!

It's never too soon for beauty. I like the wide-angle effect here. It makes it different than the typical. Real nice.

I have a few shots of my own up for crtiique and would love to read what you think. Thanks for sharing.

Snoid, I'm not usually crazy about flower pics, but when one is good, its good. This is good. great DOF here and sharp. I love the "dance around the Maypole" as Paula describes and really the only nitpik I have is the the Stamen on top touching the "
Pistil"? Some separation between the two would be perfect.
Really nice, and a welcome sight especially for those of us that are into a few feet of snow. . .

    Re: Is it too soon?

    WOW! Thanks!
    That was very unexpected.......
I guess we could all use a taste of spring.
    No crop on this.
I find it feels just a bit tight too.
What impressed me, was I shot it under the light from the kitchen ceiling.
120w single diffused source, plus a small reflector.
I can't wait till they start blooming outside.
More of a challenge with my buddy the wind.........
    Look through a glass eye.
    Give it a few tries.

    Re: Is it too soon?

Works for me Snoid. I like how it seems to explode and of course, the color. Could be a tad bit sharper I think but I feel that way about most images. Nice work, & congrats on the sticky.

    Re: Is it too soon?

Must have used a small f/stop as you have great dof, going soft only at the bottom of the stamen and just a little at the top.
Flowers are harder to shoot than many people realize, at least to get something more than just a flower and I think you have achieved a memorable shot.
I do agree with you that it is just a wee bit tight.

Definitely sticky material Snoid, great stuff.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...
