Re: Snapshot of Funeral Home
I would crop a bit off the bottom and tilt it a little bit to the right.
Too bad that lamppost it right in front of the home.
When you shoot B&W are you using red or yellow filters? They really will improve the sky.
Re: Snapshot of Funeral Home
If this is straight of of the camera I think you did very well with the composition. It seems a little overexposed and a little soft. Congrats on making your own print.
Re: Snapshot of Funeral Home
I like the soft portrait look of this image. It seems dream like.

First of all , thanks for the comments. This was taken with my Nikon F and Nikon 50mm F2 lens without filters. I was mainly interested in just taking a few pictures so I would have some negatives to enlarge. I have to say though that after taking a few B&W shots and printing them my interest in B&W photos has grown dramatically. It just gives the picture a completely different feel. I will have access to the darkroom this semester and next semester also so I plan on taking advantage of it. Due to the fact I am retired I can go and play in the darkroom all day every day of the week at no charge, They furnish the film, chemicals, paper and everything else you need, Jeff
