    Smile with your eyes
I told my girlfriend to "smile with your eyes" just before I took the shot, hence the title of the photo.

I have cropped it, adjusted tint and colour temp, as well as contrast and brightness. It was shot on BW400CN.

Is it too gray still? Is it missing something?

Danic - I think she's smiling with her eyes. You could crop out her mouth and still see that.

The pic is good, a warm shot of a girl smiling while relaxing. I think I might have included a little more of her neck and upper shoulders, but it doesn't look bad (did you crop in on this shot by the way? Somehow, it seems like that). Is it too gray? No.. to me it almost had another color in there besides grays (but you said you shoot it on black and white film, so that isn't very possible). There is a little lost of detail on her cheeks, not sure why that is because it doesn't appear blown out or anything.

I like the expression and I do see her smiling with her eyes. I agree alittle more of the neck would work. In your adjusting of the tint, it seems there is a strange greenish color cast to this, not gray. If you were to desaturate completely, you should see the difference.

That is an odd greenish cast you have ended up with here.

Nice pic of her and you were right to focus in on the eyes but I think the crop is a bit too tight vertically if you want to keep that width.

Thanks for all your input guys. I've had a play with the image, and this is what I have come up with. I have adjusted the crop vertically, but left it wide. Does it feel like there is too much empty space to the left? Or does the second photo work more?
