Sometimes when I'm in a pretty place, it's really tought to capture that in the camera and I thinks that's what happened here. The best landscapes have clarity throughout and foreground, middle, and background objects and patterns that guide you through the frame.

Your horizon is almost cutting the picture in half. Try to keep it either above or below the center. In this scene, there is not much going on in the sky here , but the filed is fully of drying grass of interesting colors including the small body of water in the ground. In this scene it might have been best to bring the horizon way up i the frame and inclued much more foreground by tilting the camera downward some more.

First of all, I like the shot. However, I agree with Lava, though I can almost feel how it was. I guess I've been to places like this a number of times.

This type of shot screens for a super-wide landscape format/aspect ratio. Almost like you need a 3-to-1 (dont know how you'd do it though, besides backing up and then cropping it on the computer or printing). jIt is a little too soft but this might be caused by scanning (?) It mgith have been different with some animals here .... birds, etc. ... but the mininalist feel is nice too.

Hi guys thanks for the feedback,

Lava Lamp - At the time, the cloud seemed to be hovering over the pool, but the shot didn't come out as i had hoped, it seemed far more pronounced before i took the photo, and did give the picture a balance....................didn't work out like that unfortunately!

Gary - Your suggestion of more land might have worked alright..............as it might have given more weight to the pic, and perhaps accentuated the cloud a bit more.......thanks for the comment.

GB - minimalist approach is what i do, or try to! sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't........i feel i needeed more time in this area to fully get what i wanted, and will be back over the winter.............it's great over there that time of year.

    cheers
