Sky stone

I tried to capture the feel of the clouds coming out of the stone...did I get it?

It's a nice idea.
A couple more paces to the right maybe.
And perhaps a tadge lower.

Sorry for defacing your picture with crayon, but I think the centre of the cloud lines is left of centre of the rock.

A nice composition, but I would point out a few things. The stones and trees are a little dark and dim. You could also lighten up the sky as well. Also, since this comp is about the sky mostly, why not crop the bottom slightly, and emphasize the sky more. A good picture, and worth working on.
