Skull Comp two... less effective.

I dont know what isnt working, Im finding it qute tricky to get a ballance of person and skull, and im trying to avoid over brushing in photoshop. Here i sampled alot less and tried to let the layers do the work:

I may post some thumbnails of the negs i can select from to see which ones you guys think should fit togeather, im working from stock photos so these art amasing quality nor shot for the task... so im limited in my selection:

I think this one is a lot more subtle and almost realistic than your original. Nice black and white tones, and a nice facial expression.

I agree with Jared. The second one is much better. The expression, the background isn't as distracting..looks kewl.

Thanks guys, definitely more subtle Id have to agree.
By the way im having trouble with printing, there seem to be extreme dark values that i cant pick out on my monitor and they stand out like a sore thumb on the prints from my inkjet, whats the best way to clamp the values so i can get rid of this excessive inking effect?
