Skee Bowl
I found this in a Community Center I volunteer in. Thought it might bring back a few memories for some of you old timers (Myself included). LOL :D
The black/dark background was PS. This is an old and yet still working but very worn game. What caught my eye was the colors and symmetry so that is what I focused on.

Re: Skee Bowl
Not bad, I might like a little more space in front of the 20 and less behind the 50 but no question this is a pretty good composition and well shot.

Re: Skee Bowl
I agree with MB1 but the numbers seem added or PSed.

Re: Skee Bowl
Thanks guys, I'll try the suggested crop. I have plenty of wiggle room on this one.
The numbers have been the bane of this one. I had to use flash and the Non-PS numbers are a screaming bright reflected white. While these stand out they are a much toned down version. I did PS the belmishes in the black part of the numbers because it looked more distracting than worn (White spots). But ended up with what lookes to me like new numbers on an old machine. I was thinking of trying a retake using a tripod and no flash.
Any other suggestions on how best to deal with the numbers would be appreciated.
Here is one of the unedited pics I took so you see what I have to work with.

Re: Skee Bowl
I am not good enough at PS to tell you how to do it, but if you could make the numbers look dirty or worn it would be better. But if a reshoot is easy enough it would be worth while it's a nice image and the crop works well.

Re: Skee Bowl
Good catch! I prefer the first composition with as MB said a little more space in front and perhaps a bit more on the right, also.

Re: Skee Bowl
Thanks Frog,
I'll play around with the numbers (MY PS skills are limited as well) and see what I can come up with and post a new image as a repost with the suggested crop and edit.
Thanks To All who chimed in.
