    Sitting Low

Here is a shot I took of my car the other day. Abandoned parking lot, managed to make use of it pretty well lol

What do you think of the shot?

    Canon EOS 30D | EF 70-200mm f/4L | EF 85mm f/1.8 | EF 50mm f/1.8 | Sigma 10-20mm f/4 EX | Strobist gear galore

clean standard car shot. take off the plates so you wouldn't have to smudge it in post.

do you have any thoughts on making a car shot pop?

I just meant take the plates off for the photo. I know what you mean though about paint accidentally coming off especially if it's been there for a while.

I'm tempted to run this through some filters to give it some pop

I'm thinkin' the gray sky reflection isn't doing the color of the car any favors.
If you could spark up the car without making the sky any brighter, it would make it pop.
Try editing in something on the plate itself. Make it part of the shot.
    Look through a glass eye.
    Give it a few tries.
Nothing goes right in its time.

Nice hatch. good to see a clean jdm ride. Also think it would pop more with the use of some filters..

    Re: Sitting Low

I initially used one of the presets in topaz adjust, which was pretty good, but I decided to mimic the result manually, which I think turned out better. Saturation was ramped up quite a bit, a touch of brightness, then I added a surface blur to smooth out the car and the bg, and then masked out the parking lot.

    Re: Sitting Low

nice DOF and exposure also good color

the white things in the background are distracting,

the shot of the car is fine, but not really different , needs something else, as is seating in the middle of a parking lot ... would work for an add selling it

    Re: Sitting Low

I took a stab at it. I fought the plate but it won :mad2: Oh well... I raised the vibrance and saturation just a little and cloned out the background buildings...

I think adding a model in a bikini would add some pop and if she looked good enough the white things in the back probably wouldn't even be noticed, Jeff

    Re: Sitting Low

Or how about this for the front bumper? Jeff

Didn't notice the white through the windshield so I went back and took it out and the yellow lines on the pavement.

I apologize, I didn't ask first if I could change it. I will be glad to remove my post if you want, Jeff
