The only suggestion I can make based on the EXIF data, and I'm not sure if this is even available on your model of Sony, is to switch from matrix metering to spot metering and aim for the brightest area in the frame (clouds) lock the exposure (AE Lock on Nikon/Fuji) recompose and shoot. It will darken the background substantially, while keeping the highlights properly exposed.
