A shot in the dark.

Refining my technique for shooting in the pitch black,as often awake in the early hours,full of coffee and adrenaline from a great music show..
I wander around my home (gated) complex,selecting with the AF illuminater.
This giant leaf -its bigger than both my hands,when fresh- caught my eye.

Putting the subject in the center of the frame isn't very imaginative. A different composition would likely make the subject a lot more exciting.

OTOH your idea of shooting in full dark yields a nice exposure and background.

susaan, this leaf has some interesting detail. I would have tried to get a little closer and let the leaf fill the shot. It has good abstract qualities.

B1-Tried re-editing,nothing looked good,think I tended to keep the more centered ones,from my last years' shots.
